"I founded BWKI because I needed it — and I couldn't find it.
I was looking for a space where I could grow, heal, and be supported as a Black woman: not just professionally, but personally and creatively too. A space that felt like it was made for me, not adapted for me. I looked around, and it wasn't there.
So I built it.
That was 2019. What started as a vision has become a community — of women who show up for each other, who celebrate each other's milestones, and who know that they are not alone.
BWKI is more than a mission. It's a movement, rooted in kindness, built on community, and always — always — led by love."

OUR MISSION
At the BWKI, we are dedicated to uplifting andempowering Black women through intentional acts of kindness, support, andcommunity engagement. We create safe spaces where women can connect, thrive,and access resources that nurture and encourage personal and professional growth.
Through transformative workshops, educational resources, and community events,we address the diverse needs of Black women, helping them navigate challenges and celebrate milestones within a supportive network. We believe in the power of community to inspire change, and we’re committed to uplifting Black women as
leaders, innovators, and changemakers.
